Crossroads of My Mind   leo genereux   19Aug2017

Offered to me

Is everything that could ever be

But my little self is so afraid

Of losing the kingdom that it made.

All I pay for truth

Is my belief in what's untrue

But my core belief in lies

Is where my little king hides.

Crossroads, crossroads

Every instant is a choosing time

Crossroads, crossroads

Can I choose to leave my chains behind?

I'm standing at the crossroads of my mind.

Crossroads.

This little self resists

Terrified of losing what it thinks it is

Terrified of losing what it made;

Its world of pain where all things fade.

Beyond the sound

Of the frightened voice that brings me down

Deeper still where truth abides

There is a Voice of another kind..

Crossroads, crossroads

Every instant is a choosing time

Crossroads, crossroads

Will I choose love and leave my fear behind?

I'm standing at the crossroads of my mind.

Crossroads.

In stillness I'd listen to

The unspoken message so clear and true.

An ancient tune would softly play my heart

With joyful tears I'd sing my part.

Hope and gladness would glow

Where once no light would ever go

Happiness and peace would be mine to feel

Instantly I'd know what's really real.

Crossroads, crossroads

Every instant is a choosing time

Crossroads, crossroads

The choice to embrace love was always mine.

Standing at the crossroads of my mind.

Standing at the crossroads of my mind

I'm standing at the crossroads

Crossroads

Crossroads

Crossroads

Imaginare   leo genereux   24Mar2017

Did you ever dream that you were starring in a movie,

Imagining every kind of vivid fantasy?

My little self is the actor in his movie;

Imaginare is the name of the dream world that he sees.

Imaginare. Imaginare.

My little self looks around with his body's eyes

And what he sees that seems so real gives rise to fear

Playing the part of a loner who desperately tries

To find love in his world of Imaginare.

Imaginare, Imaginare imaginary

All that he sees is imaginary

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

Nothing in his dream world is real.

Why does he keep on replaying sad scenes in his movie?

But then he keeps on complaining all his scenes are sad.

Perhaps this self wants to be a victim in his movie?

Oblivious to the fact of choosing to feel bad.

Oh, feel so bad!

Why does this self make all of his parts depressing?

All his chosen scenes are filled with dismal lines

Perhaps he thinks he's guilty of committing grave sin;

By believing his existence is a grievous crime.

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

All that he feels is imaginary

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

Nothing in his dream world is real.

This little self is a figment of my imagination.

Forgiven now for believing what could never be.

Now all his dreams are filled with happy celebrations

For every scene offers a different way to see.

Though Imaginare stills remains in his perception

This little self is healed of hate and heaviness

The fear he felt before was caused by self-deception

His true identity is choosing forgiveness.

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

All that we see is imaginary

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

Nothing in this dream world is real.

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

All that we see is imaginary

Imaginare, Imaginare, imaginary

Nothing in this dream world is real.

Let Go   leo genereux   18Sept2016

I need to give the love that I receive

By giving love is how I know its mine

Tomorrow's far away I need to give today

Eternal love plays not the game of time.

There are no walls that could contain this love

For all it is, forever love will be,

But by holding on to fear by worrying and cares

I keep forever's love from coming near.

Let go, let go

All sadness, all fears

Let go, let go

All madness , all cares.

Let go, let go, let go, everything but love. (4X)

The loneliness to which I was so prone

Was just the price I paid to be alone

But everyone I see is just the same as me;

Travelers on the journey going home.

Each drop of rain is game to move along

That old man river sings their favorite song.

And with an ancient smile he carries them awhile

The sea of life is where they all belong.

Let go, let go

Belief in broken hearts

Let go, let go

The fear that tears us apart.

Let go, let go, let go, everything but love. (4X)

My present happiness is all I see

As I let go of my insanity

Without the wars I wage my dove's no longer caged

Together we can fly above the sea.

Let go, let go

The hardships you bear

Let go, let go

The bondage of fear

Let go, let go, let go, everything but love. (4X)

Let Me Perceive No Differences Today*   leo genereux   11Feb2017

By believing the impossible thought of separation

The one eternal son seemed to shatter into billions

Enemies and allies, each with their own name

Became the special loves and hates in this 'reality' game.

Arrogant designs for peace, complex and confounding

Were made to insure that peace would nevermore,

Nevermore be found.

To resolve conflicting truths, the architects of time

Drew upon the bloodied earth another battle line

Death lurks in my darkened mind that forgot was life was for.

I need unlock my willingness to abandon endless war.

For all has become much too grim, the chaos and dismay

I call for help so that my mind perceives the world

A different way.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

No differences today.

Conflict arises from my fears, a mind confused by dreaming

Appearances of danger simply caused by misperceiving

Each and every moment draws an opportunity

To allow the Love beyond the dream to guide the way I see.

Today can be that holy day that I become aware

My mindless game of differences can not undo

The love we share.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Let me perceive no differences today.

No differences today

No differences. (4X)

My Mind Food   leo genereux   24jun2016

Little wonder why I'm feeling down

I choose to linger in a low head space

No surprises hiding why my mirror frowns

The food I feed my mind shows on my face.

Supersized servings of anger and fear

Nibbling bag after bag of bitterness

Dipping into desserts of despair.

Should I wonder why I feel so depressed?

This mind food I indulge in

Is the reason for my downward spin

Being hypnotized by my own lies

Has made me a glutton for punishment.

My my, my mind food

I've not been minding my mind food

I'm finding that my mood

Depends on my mind food. (2X)

Mind food, mind food (8X)

The mind food I indulged in;

Was nutrition for my self loathing

By no longer feeding on my own lies,

I'm feeling like a happy pie.

Minding my mind food

Minding my mind food

Finding that my mood

Depends on my mind food. (2X)

Mind food, mind food (8X)

Little wonder why I felt down

I chose to linger in a low head space

No surprise was hiding why my mirror frowned

The food I fed my mind showed on my face.

But I'm through with chewing misery

This junk food junkie is history

Force feeding myself bits of agony

Was a tasteless waste of time.

Minding my mind food

Minding my mind food

Finding that my mood

Depends on my mind food. (4X)

Mind food, mind food. (8X)

Reverie Of Love    leo genereux   20Jun2017

Love lives within each dreamer's heart

The spark of light

That gives the living

The joy of being alive.

Love can smile at sadness for it knows

Its spark of light

Can heal the pain

Any dreamer would dream.

Reverie, reverie

Reverie of love

It's gentle light dispels the night

Reverie of love.

Love awaiting silently to set free

With the light that liberates

The dreamer's mind

From the darkness of his dream.

Love sings to all a joyous round

The happy sound of

The only song

Inviting all to sing along.

Reverie, reverie

Reverie of love

It's gentle light dispels the night

Reverie of love.

Love echoes through each dreamer's mind

The gentle whisper

A touch so kind

A peaceful feeling deep within.

Love is all we are

and could ever be

Behold our shared Identity;

The one and only Child of God.

Reverie, reverie

Reverie of love

Beyond fragmented dreams of fear

Is the reverie of love.

Reverie, reverie

Reverie of love

It's gentle light dispels the night

Reverie of love.

The Human Bean   leo genereux   20may2017

So many needs has the human bean

To sustain itself within its many dreams, so many dreams

Keeping busy all the time it quickly finds

A reason to decline any opportunity for just being, just being.

Searching on the internet, in catalogs,

Facebooks, forums, features on the blogs, oh how it loves the blogs!

The human bean cyber-bouncing to the sound of rap

In its quest to fill the gap if feels, that emptiness, oh that emptiness!

Mindlessly rolling from scene to scene the human bean seems to be being

But it is just having a dream of being, the bean is but having a dream

it is just having a dream of being, the bean is but having a dream

Just having a dream.

A new TV, a regal home, a shiny car

A perfect mate, a great career, in ultra-high definition.

The human bean pursues its goals

Feverishly trolling every hole

With the manic conviction of the bean addiction,

The bean addiction.

One by one they are achieved each dream on the long bean list

But the achievement buzz quickly goes with the human feeling achieveless.

The mechanics of madness are based on the human drive;

To seek but never to find, to depart but never arrive.

To seek but never to find, to depart but never arrive.

Mindlessly rolling from scene to scene the human bean seems to be being

But it is just having a dream of being, the bean is just having a dream

Mindlessly rolling from scene to scene the human bean seems to be being

But it is just having a dream of being, the bean is just having a dream

Just having a dream.

To seek but never to find to depart but never to arrive

Carrying the world so heavy along the road of time

And wishing that the happiness not always have to make a dive

Sadly yearning once again, a bean without a mind.

A bean without a mind, a bean without a mind.

The overwhelming fear of joy in its boundless state

Keeps the human bean rolling down the hill of hate,

The terrifying fear of love keeps the human bean trapped

In its world of 'not enough' never quite complete.

Never quite complete.

Chorus again ("Mindlessly rolling....")

Fulfillment awaits the moment when

The bean slips past its separate scene

Finally using its mind to join again.

For human, being just illusion, can only bring but suffering.

But Being, being Love, is completion,

But Being, being Love, is completion.

Mindlessly rolling from scene to scene the human bean seemed to be being

But it was just having a dream of being, the bean was just having a dream.

Whatever Suffers   leo genereux   30Dec15

When my body gets sick and fills with pain

I'm being a puppet in the ego's game

Identifying with pain is insane

For suffering mocks what I truly Am.

Only Heaven is real, pain is hell

What suffers and dies was never really alive

By denying the liar, the Truth is felt

Fears begin to fade as Love revives.

Now is the moment to let go

Find the courage to break away, and choose again

No longer believing the self deceiving lies

Based on the ego trips of guilt and sin.

Within the ancient Love remembered

From outside this dream of misery

All brothers and I are joined as one

Whatever suffers is not part of me.

Whatever suffers is not part of me.

Whatever suffers is not I.

And to my brothers who seem to suffer still

In the nasty pseudo-world of their dark dreams;

Behold the miracle that gently heals

Lifting the blinding fear of remembering.

Beyond the nightmare all must tread

There's nothing to lose but our mindless dread

Our holy minds have never been apart

From That which is beyond the dream of death.

Within the ancient Love remembered

From outside this dream of misery

All brothers and I are joined as one

Whatever suffers is not part of me.

Whatever suffers is not part of me.

Whatever suffers is not I.

Zoo   leo genereux   12Oct2017

I am the broken idol. it's my last recital

The glitter and glitz fizzled out, only 'ordinary' remains,

There's a bit of confusion , the underlying illusion

Is that my steely will to survive will revive my wobbling frame.

But all the ancestors, the paradigm change protesters,

Are waving their signs filled with catchy lines straight out of the Old Testament .

They're here to reject me, undermine and eject me

Out of their once flowing hearts now sealed with hate-cement.

Am I sure I wanna go out on that stage?

I'd certainly be safer in my cage.

It's not too late to turn around, and run for higher ground

We've all made the same mistake, all the same mistakes were made.

I paid to play the game of differences

I blindly stumbled on my inferences

The curtains rose, the show began, it came as no surprise

All the crazy 'I' dreams never get realized,

And the broken idols end up in the zoo.

Behind our fences, the boredom gets intensive

To break monotony we pace endlessly to and fro.

Elephants and tigers, the givers and the misers

Animal right sympathizers are all here to let us know

All were heavy hearted, the day the keeper parted

How melodramatic the static on their mobile phones

The toil and turmoil, the sequestered battle spoils

How delicious was the danger at the fair of love and war,

Are we sure we wanna go out on that stage?

We'd certainly be safer in our cages.

It's not too late to turn around, and run for higher ground

We've all made the same mistake, all the same mistakes were made.

we paid to play the game of differences

we blindly stumbled on our inferences

The curtains rose, the show began, it came as no surprise

All the crazy 'I' dreams never get realized,

And the broken idols end up in the zoo.

I am the broken idol, this is my last recital

My notion of uniqueness now seems so meaningless.

The vanity that surrounded my mind's so confounding

Made a world of misery no better than a zoo.

The heaviness of unkindness relied entirely on my blindness

But now vision clears the skies of the dark clouds of doom.

As I watch its vigor disappear, this idol dream of fear,

A smile unlocks the cages of all my brothers,

All my brothers in the zoo.

But A Child Is This   leo genereux   Dec13 2015

Weaving illusions in my sleep,

Where heroes shine and victims weep,

And uninvited villains creep

Into every scene I make.

Deception is the only rule

When truth is redefined by fools.

The war of wills is crass and cruel,

Where reality is fake.

But a child is this;

Busy tossing stones at those

Seeming foes who dare to oppose

The vagaries it chooses.

But a child is this,

That dreams up a form called human.

The blissful feeling of simply being,

This lonely wanderer has forgotten.

But a child, a child is this, a child;

A lonely wanderer that has forgotten.

Hunting witches, calling names,

Pointing fingers, casting blame

Insanely driven childish games

A nightmare of mistakes

Every grievance that I ploy

Quicksands this sad and suffering boy,

Suffocating all hopes of joy.

When will I awake?

But a child is this!

Bruised by hallucinations

Fearful and sad it drifts along

In its holographic notions

but a child is this

Its dream so misbegotten.

The blissful feeling of simply being,

this lonely wanderer has forgotten.

But a child, a child is this, a child;

A lonely wanderer that has forgotten.

Lose To Find   leo genereux   30Jun2018

The world we made is such a scary place
Trying to make it safe has been a hopeless chase
With all our walls and all our private stalls we try
To hide behind our 'honest' lies.

It seems to be a thing beyond our  control
This chronic fear that lurks inside our soul
But behind this veil of dread the truth can set us free
of our self deceptions,  our dark fantasies.

Lose to find, lose to find
Lose to find, lose to find.

Lose the anger that feeds on our fear
To find the gentleness that's locked inside
Lose the gloomy shadows  that we wear
To find the light withn that yearns to be shared.

Lose the crazy craving for all our little wars
To find the peace that heals  our chosen sorrows
Lose the self curse that made us so blind
To find the vision that is here now to find.

Belief that we could be apart from Love
Has left us feeling that there's never enough
We fight each other for the crumbs of victory
To feed our desparately hungry fake identities.

Instead of marching to the dismal dirge of strife
Let's dance together to the endless song of Life
Scatter the ashes of our madness to the wind
Free ourselves of sadness so that we may fly again.

Lose to find, lose to find
Lose to find, lose to find.

Lose our nightmare of despair
Lose the world we made from our fear
Find the Self that we all share
Beyond our separate little games of sorrow.

Lose desire for suffering,
Salvation it will never bring
Find the Self we left behind in order to
Find a  world  forever kind.

Lose to find, lose to find
Lose to find, lose to find.

Lose what needs to be lost
In order to find what needs to be found.
Lose what needs to be lost
In order to find what needs to be found.

Lose to find, lose to find
Lose to find, lose to find.
